Some women brought a 'farewell' cake for the staff at Status of Women but were stopped at the office. They sat-in in the lobby from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (and ate a lot of cake) while a large group of women and men outside spoke at a rally, chanted and sang in solidarity at a 'sit-out'.

About 1 p.m. the women emerged (with the remaining cake) and joined the women outside
