YouTube Newfoundland and Labrador Status of Women’s office

This is a video of a group of women singing Bread and Roses at the Status of Women Canada Office in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. They were there to celebrate the work of the program officer, who has worked for and supported women and women's projects. This work as greatly improved the status of women. It was a great celebration. However, the women were so moved by the other women who attended, and so upset about the closure, that some of them stayed behind and decided to occupy the office.
